Beautiful Odessa is 215 years old on the 2d September!

Great festive program is prepared for Odessa’s 215th Birthday on September 2, 2009. It includes Art and Photo Exhibitions, Flower Exhibition, Rock Music Festival, Polish Cinema Festival, Street Theaters Festival, Grand Chess Festival and a Carnival March.

Traditional concert followed by fireworks will take place at Potyomkin Stairs in the evening.

There will be changes in work of the city transport during Odessa celebration days (1st and 2d September). On the 2nd of September city transport (buses, trams, trolleybuses) will work till 1am. Traffic will be closed on Primorskaya Street, so some of the buses will change their routs.
Traffic will be temporarily restricted from 18:00 (August 30) till 08:00 (September 2) at the corner of Lanzheronovskaya and Rishelyevskaya Streets because of the stage installation.
The Carnival March will go along Sadovaya Street – Deribasovskaya Street (the corner of Preobrazhenskaya Street) – Teatralnaya Square – Lanzheronovskaya Street (the corner of Pushkinskaya Street) on the 1st September, 2009, from 20.00 till 20.30
The traffic will be closed from 08.00 till 22.00 on the 2nd September at the corner of Lanzheronovskaya and Rishelyevskaya Streets because of the concert.
After the concert at 11pm shuttle service will be organized to take all-comers to Kotovsky, Tairova and Cheremushki districts.
