Annual international festival of folk-music – Day of the Balalaika – for the first time will be held in Simferopol, Crimea, Ukraine, on June 20-21, as it was reported at the press center of Simferopol City Council.

The first in the world museum-restaurant of SALO (pigs fat) was opened in the center of Lviv, on Svobody Avenue. The exposition presents a variety of sculptures made of pigs fat, as well as paintings, photographs and other works of artists dedicated to the famous Ukrainian snack.

The 13th International Festival “Kyiv Summer Music Evenings” will start on May 30. It will run every wekend till July, 11th. The Festival is held on the summer stage of the Central Park of Culture and Rest.

Ukraine is among the five biggest honey producers of the world in terms of gross volume of production as well as honey consumption per capita. There are about 30 varieties of honey produced in Ukraine. The country aproximately exports 83% of honey to Europe.
