On the 12th September, during the Day of the City celebration, the 4th National Ukrainian Orthodox Festival of bell ringers «Dnipropetrovs’k ringing» will take place on Monastery Island (near by the St. Nicholas Cathedral) in Dnipropetrovs’k.
Professional bell-ringers and participants amateurs from all over Ukraine will show the art of bell ringing. In addition, the leading bell-ringers promise to give the real master-classes, so anybody could learn the original and unique tolling of the bells art. Trucks with bells will stop at people’s gathering places, so that everybody who is interested could ring the bell! There are already two preliminary known routes: on Lenin Embankment from the Merefo-Kherson Bridge (T.Shevchenko Park) to the Central Bridge and also along Dzerzhynskogo Street towards the railway station.

The city of Dnipropetrovs’k (Ukr.) or Dnepropetrovsk (Rus.) or simply Dnepr, as it is called by locals, is a dynamic and lively city. It is situated in the East Central part of Ukraine on the Dnipro River. It is the third biggest city of the country.
