Morning river tram route is cancelled in Kyiv

Kyiv river tram
Morning river tram route is cancelled in Kiev. Now, city river ships will run only in the evenings. The cancellation reason is very simple: the river tram was nearly empty in the mornings , so there was no sense to keep it going. Instead, another evening route has been open. The ship will run from the berth at Obolon embankment (next to Prirechnaya Street) to Poshtova Ploscha and back. This new Obolon berth was open on the August, 31st.
River tram routes from Podil during working days will start at 17:00, 18:20 and 19:40, berth #10 and from Obolon at 17:40, 19:00 and 20:20. During weekends river trams will run from 14:30 to 20:00. The journey from Poshtova Ploscha to Obolon will take half an hour.
The ticket costs 10 UAH
Short note: Kyiv river tram route was open on the 24th July, 2009. The idea was to reduce road traffic and help Kievans to get from one bank of the river to another without traffic jams. There is a river tram route which starts at 18:00 and 19:00 from Poshtova Ploscha, berth #10 – “Metro Bridge” (next to the metro station Dnipro) – “Bereznyaky” station. At 19:20 and 20:00 it goes from “Bereznyaky” to “Poshtova Ploscha”. This trip takes about 45 mins plus 5 mins stop at the Metro Bridge.
One ship can take up to 200 passengers. River trams will only operate during the warm season: from April till the 1st, October
It seems like a good idea to go by ship in summer, especially during crazy traffic jams. But if there are empty roads, this route will take only 10-15 mins by car.
