First in Ukraine Museum of Honeu will be opened in Zakarpattia

The head of the Tourism Department of Uzhgorod National University, Fedor Shandor said, that visitors of the Museum will be offered to taste honey. Beekeeping specialists will be holding professional trainings there as well.

Museum of Honey and Bee Products will become one of the main tourist attractions of the honey tourist path, developed in the region last year. The route offers honey degustation and visiting beekepers’ farms, where it would be possible to watch the process of making honey by bee families and the work of beekeepers.

Note:

There are over 1500 small and big beekepers’ farms in Zakarpattia (Transcarpathia). There is even a monument to the bee in Vuchkove village of Mezhyhirsky district. A branch of the Institute of Beekeeping is located in this village as well, where a gray Carpathian bee is bred.
