Veronica Vovchuk, a Ukrainian girl from Uzhgorod, became the winner of the Queen of the World 2009 Beauty Pageant, which was held on December 3 at the ESTREL Convention Center in Berlin, Germany.
19 y.o. Uzhgorod girl got the rights to represent the country at the prestigious International Beauty Pageant after she became the winner of National Ukrainian casting “Queen of the World – Ukraine 2009″. Previously, she received the titles “Miss Charm” of National Ukrainian contest “Miss Europe and World – Ukraine Junior 2009″, “Miss People’s Choice” of the contest “Golden Crown of Ukraine 2009″, “Miss Photo” and “Young Miss Ukraine”.
Veronica studies at the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, specializing in international economic relations. She began her modeling career in Uzhhorod Creative Center “StarTime”. Veronica enjoys dancing, skating, skiing and loves to travel.

Also, the finals of Miss Ukraine Universe 2010 have recently been held in Kyiv, Ukraine. 15 girls from all over Ukraine were competing to get the crown of the winner. The jury included such world celebrities as a star of television series “Dynasty” actress Joan Collins, a boxer Nikolai Valuev and Christine Lasik, an American model and a wife of the football player Andriy Shevchenko. By tradition, the owner of the contest Alexandra Nikolaenko was the head of the jury.

22-year-old Anna Poslavskaya from a small town Nova Kakhovka of Kherson region was recognized the most beautiful girl of the country. She has received not only the crown, inlaid with diamonds, but also the right to represent Ukraine at the International contest “Miss Universe 2010″, which will be held in May next year.
